Black&white large format photography has been brought to perfection already by the famous american photographer Ansel Adams 100 years ago. His pictures can be hardly beaten in terms of detail resolution and atmosphere capture even by common modern digital technologies. Large format negatives contain a perfect image capture with wealth of details and half-tones, durable for centuries. Probably the magic of high resolution together with possibility to compose pictures on a large ground glass made me to continue this tradition.
The classical large format photography is neither quick nor easy. But the time invested to camera setup and image composition seems to be key to a persistent perception and feeling of a harmony with the nature, brought back each time when looking at the photography. I´ll try to hand-over part of this harmony to you...
